When you bring your transmission in to our shop for a
complete "over-haul" or "rebuild," you may wonder just exactly what all we
are doing. Both terms are extremely loose and the definitions vary
along with the people using them. When we say we "rebuilt" your
transmission, we mean that we:
- Totally disassembled your transmission
(including ALL sub-assemblies, i.e.- Valve Bodies, Pumps, etc.)
- Cleaned, inspected, and replaced all bad
components
- Flushed the radiator
- Replaced the torque converter (we use
exclusively use Buckeye Precision converters)
- Installed a Shift Kit®
(where applicable)
- Replaced all friction elements, bushings, and
bearings
- Performed any applicable durability up-grades or
up-dates
